Tolland County, in north eastern Connecticut, is named after Tolland, a town located in the center of the county, which serves as the county seat. The county covers an area of approximately 417 square miles, is home to 13 towns and cities with a population of around 150,052.
Tolland County is home to several historic sites, including the Nathan Hale Homestead, the home of the American Revolutionary War hero Nathan Hale.
In terms of demographics, Tolland County has a relatively small population compared to other counties in Connecticut. The largest town in the county is Vernon, with a population of approximately 30,000 people.
