Maryland wraps around the Chesapeake Bay in the Mid-Atlantic, a small state with a lot of variety. Baltimore is the largest city, Annapolis the capital, and Washington, D.C. sits right on its doorstep.
The bay defines much of the state, from crab houses to the sailing out of Annapolis, home of the U.S. Naval Academy. The economy leans on biotech, defense, and the federal government, with Johns Hopkins among its anchors.
The land ranges from Atlantic beaches at Ocean City to the Appalachian Mountains in the far west.
Only about 11% of Maryland homes heat with oil, based on 2019 Census Bureau data. We hope to add more suppliers over time, and listing prices with us is always free.
